MUSTAD hook patterns are MB-Tested (Mustad Bending Test). In this test we measure the load in kilograms it takes for the hook to straighten out. These values establish a norm for the weight a high-quality hook should be able to hold. MUSTAD’s unique tempering process ensures even strength and high quality. Before being tempered the hooks are forged, which in this context means that the hook wire is a bit compressed.
