The Berkley HotWire Line Cutter aims to eliminate the hassle of finding a line cutter that can finish the job with no frayed ends. Equipped with a replaceable tungsten tip that instantly heats up to 1200 degrees, HotWire Line Cutters cut and cauterize all types of line, especially braided superlines. An LED task light is attached to the HotWire Line Cutter for cutting in the dark early morning hours or those late-night excursions. The safe-to-use line cutter is designed to retract the tungsten tip once the slide switch is released. The HotWire Line Cutter is also useful in repairing plastic soft baits that have torn or broken. The heating element simply welds the worm, lizard and creature bait back into shape. The one-piece, compact line cutter has dual density SofTorx handles for secure non-slip handling. A single CR-1216 battery and two AA batteries power the HotWire Line Cutter.
